I got a rude awakening on what being a tradesman is like you have to work hard all day or you dont get much done and the days you have to work are long 8-5 or 6 depending on how we were going for time on a job. On Monday i started at 8 and worked in noorat first replacing a compressor on an Air Conditioner then we had to go to The Sisters and pick up an Outdoor unit of an Air Conditioner then we travelled back to mortlake I was working with a Qualified Refrigeration Technition Clinton that day and we had lunch after lunch we had to go install an AirConditioner in Mortlake that took us until about 4 then we had to go to my old school and have a look at a fridge that wasent working we put a new thermostat then it was the end of the day.
TUesday i started at 8 again I was working with three others we went to Camperdown and put in a big ducted system that took until 2:30 then we travelled back to Mortlake were Clinton and i had to go back to the school second day running to have a look at an Air Conditioner that wasent working it had a stuffed compresser that couldnt be replaced then we went back to the companys shed in Mortlake and i got to burn some stuff for them and then unpacked an order of stuff for them then it was knock off time.
Wednesday I started at 8 i was working with Troy one of the bosses for the day we went to the woolslorpe school first and covered up some wires and pipes from an Air Conditioner then when we finished that we went to a Dairy near Koroit which stunk alot and we wired in a new feeding system for them after that job was done we went to another dairy and had a look at a vat which wasent working and fixed that then it was 5 and we travelled back to Mortlake and finished for the day.
Thursday i started at 8 first we went and dropped off a new Outdoor unit for that broken Air Conditioner at the school then we went back to the shed were I was sent with Clinton and Adam for the day we were working in Hamilton putting in another big ducted system in a brand new house that took all day to do so we travelled back to Mortlake it was about 5:30 when we got back.
Friday i started at 8 again everyone went to warrnambool that day we were all working at the local newspaper The Standard we had to move wires and the jets on a ducted Air Conditioner that day the bosses took us all for a counter meal because it was my last day working with them so that was nice then we went back and finished at The Standards office when we finished it was 5 then I went back to Mortlake and before i knew it my week of work experience was over and I was so sore from climbing in roofs and being up and down a ladder all week but it was a fun week which i enjoyed alot.
Sounds like a busy week Jamie! Tradies certainly work hard, did you enjoy the variety & the travel? They must have appreciated your work if they took you out for a counter meal, well done. Kepp checking your work for spelling & sentence structure. Ms Lidgerwood
